Abstract
The objective of this thesis is to analyze the kinds of deictic words that is realized in the fan fiction story entitled “The Girl Who Always Smiles” by Your Reminisce. To collect the data, the writer used descriptive qualitative and Simak Bebas Libat Cakap (SBLC) as the method. The data were taken from one of the fan fiction stories that spread out in the internet. The writer used some technique to analyze the data. Firstly, the writer separated the utterances of the fan fiction story from the whole text. Secondly, the writer analyzed the person, place, and time deixis that are contained in the utterances. The result of the deictic words in the fan fiction story entitled “The Girl Who Always Smiles” consists of 79 oral utterances in which each utterance consists of one or more deixis. There are 73 first person deixis consisting of the deictic words like I, me, my, mine, we, and us; 84 second person deixis consisting of the deictic words like you, your, and yourself; 53 third person deixis consisting of the deictic words like they, them, she, her, he, and it; 20 place deixis consisting of the deictic words like this, that, here, there, and those, and 19 time deixis like now, next week, last week, and just now.
