Abstract
This research investigates the use of VOA sites to enhance students’ listening skills, addressing the common problem of students struggling to improve their listening comprehension. VOA sites offers authentic audio and video materials that can make listening practice more engaging and effective. The aims of this study are to determine whether using VOA sites can significantly improve students’ listening skills and to assess students’ responses to this method. The research employs an experimental design, collecting data through pre-test and post-test, as well as questionnaires. The data analysis shows that the use of VOA sites significantly improves students’ listening skills, as evidenced by the substantial increase in post- test scores in the experimental class compared to the control class. The paired sample t-test revealed a significant improvement in students’ listening performance after treatment (Sig. < 0.001), and the independent sample t-test confirmed that the experimental group outperformed the control group (Sig. < 0.001). This result means that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.
