Abstract
Hypertension is a chronic increase in blood pressure. This study aimed to determine the most cost-effective combination of hypertension treatments for outpatients at Soeselo Slawi Regional Hospital, Tegal Regency, in 2024. This study was conducted retrospectively, using secondary data in the form of medical records and direct patient costs over three months. Data analysis included therapeutic effectiveness based on blood pressure reduction, as well as cost-effectiveness using the Average Cost-Effectiveness Ratio (ACER) method. The results showed that the bisoprolol- candesartan combination reduced systolic blood pressure by 28,96 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure by 12,28 mmHg, with an average cost of Rp. 44.923,81. Meanwhile, the amlodipine-candesartan combination reduced blood pressure by 24,30 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure by 4,90 mmHg, with an average cost of Rp42.726,90. The ACER values for the Bisoprolol-Candesartan group were lower, at Rp. 1.758,30/mmHg (systolic) and Rp. 1.551,23/mmHg (diastolic), compared to Amlodipine-Candesartan, while the effectiveness of the ICER value is Rp. 471.45 for systolic blood pressure and 297.68 for diastolic blood pressure.
